Jenny Risher is a Detroit-based commercial photographer and director creating photography and motion for brands, advertising agencies and publications nationwide. Her work spans automotive, lifestyle, fashion, advertising and portraiture, combining a strong visual point of view with a personal connection to her subjects.
After graduating from Detroit’s College for Creative Studies, Jenny built her career in New York, where she spent 18 years and assisted photographers including Joyce Tenneson, Francesco Scavullo and Patrick Demarchelier. Today, she brings that experience to campaigns and editorial assignments in Michigan and across the country.
Her personal projects include Heart Soul Detroit and D-CYPHERED, which became a solo exhibition at the Detroit Institute of Arts. These projects reflect her continuing interest in people, music and the cultural identity of her hometown.
